Advisory Board
The Northern California Chapter of the Association for Strategic Planning consists of strategy professionals from industry, academia and the nonprofit sector interested in developing their knowledge and skills in strategic thinking, planning and action. Event attendees represent some of the most influential organizations in the San Francisco and Silicon Valley areas including: Cisco, Walmart.com, Hewlett Packard, SRI (Stanford Research Institute), Saatchi & Saatchi, USF, Palo Alto Medical Foundation as well as numerous smaller firms. Our events are highly interactive 90-minute keynote presentations with Q&A that often leads into further and deeper roundtable discussions with the presenter. The presenters tend to be strategy professionals within large organizations or strategy consultants who highlight how their approach worked and the actual impact within a particular organization. We also conduct a networking activity at each event to spur new contacts. Events are held every month except during the summer. In Silicon valley, we meet the third Thursday of each month at Stanford Research Institute in Menlo Park. Our second venue in San Francisco meets 4x a year at the YMCA Embarcadero. Silicon Valley\'s focus is on the latest strategy topics and methods, while San Francisco emphasizes the intersection of sustainability with strategy development and execution.
