About the Topic

The US economy is struggling with the cost of health care, as it consumes $1 out of every $5. In this world of the employer-funded model of health care, businesses are heavily invested in the health of their employees. This session focuses on understanding the true costs of employee health and the impact that health risks present to businesses.

About the Speakers

Mari Ryan, MBA, MHP, CWWPC
CEO, AdvancingWellness

Mari Ryan has a passion for healthy living, and brings this passion to her work in the field of health promotion. As CEO and founder of AdvancingWellness, Mari consults on workplace wellness. She leverages her over 20 years of business experience in various marketing, consulting and executive roles.

Mari holds a Bachelor Degree from Lesley University, an MBA from Boston University, a Master’s degree in Health Promotion from Nebraska Methodist College, and is a certified Worksite Wellness Consultant.  She received her coaches training from Coaches Training Institute (CTI).
